Why does your family photography cost more than other photographers?
My pricing reflects a highly personalised experience, the use of professional-grade equipment, thoughtful session planning, and extensive editing. Every session is crafted with care to deliver heirloom-quality artwork you’ll treasure for generations-not just digital images, but lasting memories. Have another look at my pricing page.
How do you ensure a professional and reliable experience?
From your first inquiry to the delivery of your finished artwork, I provide clear communication, transparent pricing, and dedicated support. I use detailed planning guides, send timely reminders, and deliver your final images on schedule-so the experience is smooth and stress-free.
How long does it take to receive our photos, and what’s the editing process like?
We’ll get together in person or on zoom within 2–3 weeks of your session. I lightly re-touch each image to help you see the beauty of each image. You will then choose your images, package and any upgrades. Images will then be master re-touched with great care to enhance natural beauty while keeping everything true to life and timeless.
When do you require payment?
The session fee is due at the time of booking. 50% deposit is required at the ordering appointment when you choose your images. Balance is required upon delivery and installation of your art. 100% satisfaction is at my core. We also accept payment plans with AfterPay.
I don’t like how I look in photos. Can you fix that?
You're not alone in feeling this way-many people are self-conscious in front of the camera. My job is to guide you gently into flattering poses, use soft, natural light, and retouch with a light touch to enhance your natural beauty while staying true to who you are. My aim is for you to feel confident and radiant in your portraits.
Are you experienced working with children and families?
Absolutely. Family photography is my specialty, and I have years of experience working with children of all ages. Sessions are relaxed and fun, designed to bring out natural smiles and genuine connection-with plenty of patience and playfulness built in.
My husband isn’t interested in photos. Any advice?
Take the time to tell your partner that this is really important to you and remind them that these photos are not for them. They are for your children, for legacy. One day these portraits will mean the world to you both and your kids. I do ask that all adults participating be fully on board with the experience. A relaxed, positive atmosphere makes all the difference in creating beautiful images.
Why don’t we see every photo you take during the session?
During a session, I capture many images-but not all are meant to be shown. Some may be out of focus, have closed eyes, or capture fleeting expressions. I curate and show only the best-those where your family looks their most natural, relaxed, and connected-so your final gallery is full of meaningful, beautiful moments.
What if my children don’t cooperate during the session?
That’s completely okay-and totally expected! I work with children of all temperaments, including those who are shy, energetic, or have additional needs. Sessions are child-led and relaxed, with no pressure to pose or behave a certain way. I focus on connection over perfection and have plenty of gentle strategies to keep things playful and calm.
What’s included in your packages, and are there any hidden costs?

How do I know if your style will suit our family?
Great question! I specialise in fine art portraiture that blends warmth, connection, and timeless beauty. Will you capture the meaningful moments I really care about?
Yes-that’s my priority. I take a storytelling approach, focusing not only on who you are, but how you love. The little glances, the soft touches, the spontaneous laughter-those are the heartbeats of your session. What if I feel awkward or uncomfortable in front of the camera?
You’re not alone-most people do! That’s why I gently guide you throughout the session, creating a safe and relaxed environment. We’ll ease into things naturally, and I’ll give you simple direction to help you look and feel your best. The focus is on genuine interaction, not stiff posing.
Will you judge us if our children misbehave or have a meltdown?
Not at all. I’ve seen it all-and I’m here for it. Children are beautifully unpredictable, and part of my job is meeting them where they are, without judgment. Your child’s energy, curiosity, or sensitivity are never a problem. I approach every family with kindness, empathy, and zero expectations for “perfect” behaviour.
What if we invest in a session and don’t love the photos?
Your trust means everything to me, and I don’t take that lightly. I pour care into every part of the process-from planning to editing-so your final images reflect the love and beauty in your family. If something doesn’t feel right, I’ll work with you to make it right. Your satisfaction is a core part of my service.
Will I be included in the photos, or will the focus only be on the kids?
You will absolutely be included. While I love capturing your children’s personalities, my sessions are also about connection-and that means showcasing the love between you and your family. As a mother myself, I know how rare it is to be in the photo. These moments with you in them are the ones your children will cherish most one day.
What if the weather is bad or we need to reschedule?
No problem at all. Life happens-and so does weather! I offer flexible rescheduling at no extra charge if needed. Your session should feel enjoyable and relaxed, and I’ll always work with you to find a better time if necessary.
